Don't Tell Mama, I'm for Obama

Obama's spectacular media rollout continues apace, with this article substantiating MSM chatter on the coming Barack-Your-World Tour. HRC hoped to be the Mondale who could, the rock star candidate who prevailed because of the steady elimination of the credibility/electability of all possible rivals. No more. I put the odds of HRC even running at 70 for/30 against, and the odds of her prevailing at maybe, generously speaking, 30%. You heard it here first - HRC will not, barring Obama's coitus with a dead woman or a live boy, be the Democratic party's nominee for hte Presidency of the United States in 2008

Ain't no party like a left-wing party, indeed.

Well, it's been more than two years. Who knows what to write now? The political winds of the last six years are turning; Democrats, not entirely ignorant of George W.'s devices, have managed to turn the tables by focussing on Republican malfeasance, ruling-class piracy, and imperial adventure. My union was indeed broken, my ability to program hindered by, well, my inability to program, my dissertation flummoxed by my own historical ignorance (thanks, Garzia).

So we'll see how this all goes.
